Elementary Students Take on Middle School Division. Score an Impressive Fifth Place
At the TAS Debate Tournament, sixth graders Lily Wang and Owen Ho boldly entered the middle school division. Defeating top-ranked teams and earning an impressive fifth-place finish. Their performance stole the spotlight.
Thanks to Ascent’s long-term training, they demonstrated exceptional logic and quick thinking beyond their years. From beginners to confident debaters who can structure arguments and control the pace, their growth speaks volumes.

Elvis
Three Straight Wins in Their First International Tournamen
Elvis, a student from VIS Experimental International Education, joined Ascent’s Elite Debate Program in August. Just two months later, he stepped into his first international tournament and scored three consecutive wins.His passion for debate was sparked during Ascent’s summer Showcase. From that first trial to his official debut, Elvis experienced setbacks, adjustments, and countless rounds of refinement. In the end, he and his teammate Kenneth broke through together and turning effort into impact.
