English Debate
NSDA Debate Framework
Structured training in debate skills based on the NSDA system.
Ascent’s English Debate Program is delivered entirely in English and combines theory with practice to develop students’ critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills. The curriculum covers academic argumentation, interview expression, and public speaking, helping students communicate clearly and confidently across diverse contexts.
We emphasize not just what to say, but how to say it.Through inquiry-based learning and real-world issue discussions, students receive systematic training in logical construction, rebuttal techniques, and spontaneous response. The program is modeled on the U.S. secondary school debate system and incorporates both SPAR (Spontaneous Argumentation) and PF (Public Forum) formats. Courses are leveled by age and proficiency, with opportunities for mock tournaments and formal competitions that encourage students to challenge themselves and validate their progress.
