Ascent Academy was invited to Thailand to participate in the annual World Changer’s Cup, a prestigious English speech and debate tournament hosted by The A Team Academy. As one of Thailand’s most established debate institutions, the event draws top students from international schools across the country and features a highly competitive atmosphere.

Founder Tyler served as a judge for both speech and debate categories. Ascent Academy also hosted a dedicated booth at the venue to introduce Thai students and parents to its educational philosophy, international programs, study tours, and leadership training. Calvin, Operations Manager of the Taipei Arena Campus, shared, “We were excited to see how proactive Thai parents are in planning their children’s futures. Many showed strong interest in our global education resources.”

To share a taste of Taiwan, the Ascent Academy team brought local snacks to the event. The classic “Science Noodles” quickly became a crowd favorite and sold out within hours.

During the judging process, Tyler witnessed the maturity and passion of Thailand’s English debate community. He remarked, “Seeing the students’ dedication and energy was truly moving. This was more than a tournament. It was a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange between Taiwan and Thailand.”

One memorable moment came after the Senior Finals, when the winning team approached Tyler for feedback. Their humility and eagerness to improve left a deep impression. “They weren’t just celebrating a win. They were focused on growth. That mindset is what real learning looks like,” Tyler said.

This visit not only elevated Ascent Academy’s international presence but also opened new doors for educational collaboration between Taiwan and Thailand. Through global engagement like this, Ascent Academy is committed to helping students expand their worldview, strengthen their skills, and grow into confident global citizens.
