【Absence & Adjustment Policy】
- You must notify Ascent Academy of your absence at least 24hrs prior to the class (via Official Line), in order to receive a voucher. If you do not notify Ascent Academy of your absence at least 24hrs in advance, no voucher will be provided.
- If students are absent from a class, they may choose another time slot to make up the class; if they cannot make up the class, they will be provided with a voucher that can be used for Ascent programs in the future. A student may be eligible to receive a maximum of three vouchers per course per semester.
- A maximum of three vouchers can be used for one course per semester.
- If a class is canceled due to the fault of the teacher or Ascent Academy, the student is eligible to receive a cash refund for the missed classes or a voucher for future classes.
- If a class is canceled due to an emergency or other issue beyond the control of Ascent Academy (e.g., natural disaster), we will provide a voucher for future classes.
- If a face-to-face class cannot be held due to a problem or emergency beyond the control of Ascent Academy, the affected class will be converted to an online class. If a student is unable to take a course online, adjustments may be made based on the specific situation.
【Refund Policy】
Ascent Academy's refund policy follows the Taipei City Government's Education Bureau's Guidelines for the Establishment and Management of Short-Term Arts and Science Tutoring Classes:
- Refund prior to the 60th day before the course start date: 95% of the paid fee
- Refund from the 59th day before the start date to the beginning of the course on the actual start date: 90% of the fee.
- Refund after the course starting date and before the second class: 70% of the fee..Refund after the second lesson, and before 1/3 of the total course hours: 50% of the fee.
- No refund after 1/3 of the total course hours is reached.
*In order to provide students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to showcase their achievements, each student participating in the debate course must attend at least one showcase tournament. Unless they are in their first semester and have no prior debate experience, students may elect not to participate.
