Ryanna Chouman

Ryanna Chouman has been a journalist, editor and translator based in Taipei. She has over 6 years of speech. debate, and writing experience, including CX, LD, PF, Congress and Model UN at the high school and college level. In high school she won several debate tournaments at the national level and the notoriously competitive Texas circuit. During this time she also assisted in training novice debaters at her school’s summer camp, and regularly taught and judged debate after graduation. She is well versed in world affairs and politics, and has professional experience in the U.S Department of State and Oxfam International. Since moving to Taipei, she has taught English-language writing and rhetoric to government officials and other students, worked on a range of freelance translation and writing projects, and helped to establish a growing global media platform.
