Ashley Y.L. Tseng

Ashley graduated from an international school in Taiwan and later earned her degree in Communication from UC Davis. Initially drawn to journalism, her passion for reporting evolved into a love for writing and argumentation. Her studies in communication sharpened her skills with words, and her time studying in the U.S. taught her to approach learning through critical thinking. This experience sparked Ashley’s interest in education, and after graduating, she decided to pursue teaching.

With a wealth of teaching experience, Ashley understands both the structure of Taiwan's international schools and the challenges students face in the classroom. She focuses on guiding her students beyond the traditional rote learning approach, emphasizing critical thinking and the ability to connect ideas. She encourages them to approach topics like an investigative journalist—digging deep, analyzing, and forming their own viewpoints.

For Ashley, teaching is more than just passing on knowledge; it’s about impacting her students' personal growth. She’s passionate about education and is always striving to improve herself, ensuring she can be the mentor her students need.
